Second Annual West Scranton Egg Hunt, With a Twist!

Share in a community celebration of the arrival of spring with free family fun at Novembrino Park in West Scranton. There will be an egg hunt promptly at 11am, games, music, and more!

This is the second annual egg hunt that NeighborWorks Northeastern Pennsylvania is hosting.  Over 80 kids attended the egg hunt in 2023.  This year we are changing things up and providing 4 hours of fun!  The  Eggstravaganza kicks off with an egg hunt for all ages starting promptly at 11am. There will also be music, arts and crafts, community resources, and more.

We plan to continue with this event regardless if it rains or shines.  Last year it drizzled a bit and everyone was fine with rainboots and a rain jacket.  Plan for rain, hope for sun!  Additionally there will only be one egg hunt group and it will be for all ages.  Please be mindful that there will be a mixture of children of ages and abilities and plan accordingly.

Novembrino Splash Pad has recently undergone many improvements.  There is a splashpad that is operational during the summer, as well as a newly installed playground.  We are excited to show off this community asset that is within walking distance to local restaurants.  We hope people continue to use the space!

NeighborWorks hosts at least one event every season.  We are kicking off with the Spring Eggstravaganza in April, then in June we will be hosting a bi-weekly concert series.  Following that, we will host a 2 part fall festival in September.  To wrap the year off, we will host a multi-part event called West Side Wonderland that will span between November and December.
